The Telegraph.co.uk said that Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Vladimir Putin, honeymooned on a luxury yacht, one of the most expensive yachts in world. He hired a yacht costing £270,000 per week on a declared income of £93,000 in 2014.

The opposition leader and anti-corruption blogger Alexei Navalny claimed that he was honeymooning on one of the most expensive yachts in the world. Dmitry Peskov married to Tatiana Navka on August 1 and during his wedding he was photographed wearing a £400,000 watch. The opposition leader demanded to know that how did Mr Peskov manage all this on his wedding and honeymoon. Who is actually bearing all his expenses?

Mr Navaly claimed that he was informed by a reliable source that he was honeymooning on most expensive 289-ft yacht called the Maltese Falcon. Maltese Falcon manages 12 guests, has the largest outdoor cinema screen and watersports equipment. Burgess, a super yacht brokerage house, says one week on this luxury yacht costs £270,000. Mr Navalny said that this amount is three times greater than Mr Peskov’s declared income for 2014.

Mr Navalny wrote that “The anti-corruption foundation demands an explanation from Mr Peskov as to who paid for the rent of the yacht or (if he paid himself) where he got the money.” He further said “We also demand that President Putin and his administration both legally and ethically account for Mr Peskov’s lifestyle.”
